Erectile Dysfunction And Infertility In Patients With Spinal Cord Trauma

The most important morbidities of spinal cord traumas in young men with active sexual life are erectile dysfunction and infertility. Due to the experiences gained in current treatment possibilities in erectile dysfunction, life-quality of men subjected to spinal cord traumas has increased. Particularly, improvement of sexual functions constitutes an important part in their rehabilitation. In addition, infertility is found in 90% of men with spinal cord trauma. In these patients, infertility is secondary to ejaculatory dysfunction and impairment of sperm quality and quantity.
