Quality Of Life In Urological Oncology

Quality of Life is a reflection of the way in which patients percieve and react to their health status and to other non medical aspect of their lives. Quality of life is highest when most needs are fulfilled. We can measure quality of life by many instruments but they must be validated. There are two kinds instruments. Generic instruments used to measure and compare health related quality of life in multiple therapeutic areas. Spesific instruments used to measure and compare health related quality of life in any of multiple cancers and may be disease spesific. In benign prostate hyperplasia international symptom score contains one question about quality of life. Articles related to quality of life in urological oncology are increasing in the last ten years.
