Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy has become a world wide accepted alternative to open surgery at centres of expertise using different modifications. In the meantime several studies have been published about perioperative morbidity or the impact of technical modifications on short-term results, however, there are only few reports concerning long-term the functional and oncological outcome. This chapter on the transperitoneal laparascopic radical prostatectomy includes the details, observations and impressions about technical aspects of ascending LRP techniques. Keywords: Laparoscopy; prostatic neoplasms; prostatectomyTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2007, 3(4):72-79
