Dr. İ. Atilla ARIDOĞAN,a Dr. Volkan İZOLa
aÜroloji ABD, Çukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, ADANA Patients that do not respond to oral phosphodiesterase inhibitors, centrally acting agents, vacuum constriction devices and psychosexual therapy may be offered intracavernous injections and intraurethral therapy as a second-line therapy. Papaverine, α-adrenergic antagonits, prostaglandin E1 and phenoxybenzamine are the intracavernous injection agents while the synthetic form of prostaglandin E1 is used as an intraurethral agent. If it is not contraindicated, intracavernous injection therapy should be used in patients who do not respond to oral pharmacotherapy before surgery. Keywords: Erectile dysfunction, intracavernous therapyTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2007, 3(38):34-37
